Create and organize notes in groups - JustNoteIt for Mac help

Add a new Group

You can create Groups to organize related notes together.
Note: By default, all notes are added to the Main Group.
You can create as many Groups as you need.

1. Open the Groups window
Click on the Settings icon in the top left corner in the Notes Manager or choose JustNoteIt > Groups in the top menu or press Command + G.

2. Create a new Group
Click the + button or select New Contact from the context menu or press Command-N.
Note: to open the context menu, you can use Control-click or you can use a two-finger tap.

3. Name the Group and add the description (optional).
4. Click Save.

Edit a Group

You can rename a group and modify its description:
1. Open the Groups window
2. Select the Group and click Edit or Control-click the Group and choose Edit group or press Command - E.
3. Modify the Name and description fields.
4. Click Save.

Delete a Group

1. Open the Groups window
2. Click the - button or Control-click and select Delete group.
Note: you can't delete a group if it contains any notes. The Main Group can't be deleted.

If you want to delete a group, you need to delete or move all notes from the group.

Change the default note group

Choose the group used as default when you create a new note using Command + N.
1. Open the Groups window
2. Put the check mark next to the Group you want to set as default.

Move a note into another Group

1. Open the Notes Manager window.

2. Select a note/ notes.

3. Control-click the note(s) and choose Change Group or choose Notes > Change Group in the top menu or press Command + Shift + G.

4. Select the necessary group.

5 Click Change.

Note: moving to another group does not change any notes settings.

Set/change the default note group for newly created notes

1. Open the Groups window
2. Put the check mark next to the Group you want to set as default.
